The Electrical-Mechanical Cable Assembler will perform a variety of assembly operations
Electro-Mechanical Assembly duties: Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, print specifications, and parts lists; gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Prepping and integrating chassis and related electro-mechanical assemblies, crimping, stripping, cable routing, staking, connectorizing, splicing, marking and labeling. Performs all aspects of prototype and production assembly.
Cable Assembly to include: Routes and ties wires to to form wire harness used in electrical and electronic equipment or systems: Reads instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly. Wraps and ties wires together at designated points to form harness, manually, or using tie-wrap gun.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Requirements
Must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 5 years of related experience.
Must be able to perform job duties with little to no assistance.
Must have the level of expertise and interpersonal skills sufficient to provide on the job training to other assemblers. Experience working to schematics, process details and engineering drawings is required.
Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable working in fast-paced engineering environment.
US Citizenship is required.
This is a contract-to-hire, long-term position.
